  Title: Introduction to E-textiles J0hnyy Xm4s

E-textiles is an emerging field that is fun, creative, and overflowing with opportunities for innovation. E-textiles are considered to be anything from home furnishings to architecture to clothing as long as they include embedded computational and/or electronic elements. This introduction to e-textiles will open your eyes to the ways that electronics can easily be used to add an exciting element to any item or project. Basic circuits will be covered in order to provide a fundamental understanding of how e-textiles function. This will be followed by a view into the types of e-textiles that are available along with descriptions of recommended kits for starting out. There will also be examples in order to demonstrate the variety of projects that can be done. Some physical examples of projects will be present and attendees will be able to handle them following the presentation.

~## J0hnny Xm4s

Title: When We Stopped Playing Outside J0hnyy Xm4s

Infamous global speaker and lifetime hacker J0hnny Xm4s is very old. Almost 36, in fact. As such, he was around for the birth of many of the things whose existence you were born into. Today, he wants to rant about the birth of multiplayer gaming, and the strange technologies that were involved in getting it (sortof) working in a time before the Internet was available in every home.

~## Synopsis

Raspberry Pi 2

Low powered computing devices have become wildly popular with people of all ages over the past few year. Each form factor has its advantages based upon your project goals. The Hak4Kidz trainers will introduce you to the Raspberry Pi. In this workshop, you will be introduced to the Raspberry Pi features, how to gain access to the Raspberry Pi using Secure Shell (SSH) and programming the Pi with MIT Scratch and Python. You will also use a Raspberry Pi to electronically control a mechanical object (such as a servo motor). Raspberry Pi’s can also be used to control robot-like objects and electronics projects.

~# Web Hacking Exposed: Bounty Hunter Edition *** SOLD OUT ***

Web Hacking Registration

~## Synopsis

Boba Fett

Ever wonder what Boba Fett and professional ethical hackers have in common? Both are bounty hunters! That’s right; ethical hackers can be bounty hunters too! Companies with websites hire ethical hackers to test for vulnerabilities. This method is called “crowdsourcing” where there are rewards out for finding bugs on their own web applications.

When the researchers (aka ethical hacker) attack the web application find a genuine bug before anyone else, they get paid a bounty! Just like Boba Fett when he brought Han Solo to Jabba the Hut. How cool is that? During this workshop no one will be frozen in carbonite.

In this workshop, Discover Financial Services penetration ("pen") tester Mark Kikta will introduce you to the realm of web application security and how it all works. Tyros will learn about a brief history of bug bounties, an overview of markup languages that rules the web, common mistakes web developers make, and exercises how to demonstrate the mistakes.
